Next is crafting high end outfits and weapons, see above. Train up your production dwellers by rotating the lowest into training. Getting all stats to around 5 does not take that long and will lead to much better results during exploration. Your end goals are Dragon Maw and E7 outfit, everything along the way is gravy. When you get better weapons and outfits you will be able to explore farther and start finding recipes. I would suggest having at least half your dwellers exploring until you hit the cap. In early vaults it is all about exploration. Weapons for vault defense and exploration, outfits for production and exploration. SPECIALs do not affect combat (see 2.6), and outfits do not act as armor in any shape or form. Weapon damage is what you see, and health is explained in 4.1. Pets can also affect combat if it's a relevant effect (+X damage, +X% damage resistance, etc.). Your comments about "agility and strength" impacting combat, presumably in the vault, while logical and reasonable, are not accurate.Ī: There are only two things that affect your dweller's performance, and that's their health and weapon damage. Focus on getting good gear and good dwellers first. I find grinding caps early is only good for upgrading rooms, and is most useful in late game when you’re rearranging your vault. Then I get the overseer’s office and do quests with those dwellers and weapons. In general, I prioritize lunchbox objectives first until I get a few legendary weapons and/or dwellers. Prevents huge areas of my vault from shutting down with low power, and because I read somewhere that 2 wide power generation is better for some reason. Also, I tend to put 2 wide power rooms down the center of the vault on alternating levels. I usually end up replacing this room later on when upgrading. Agility attacks faster, strength does more damage. I put a storage room in the first floor 2 to act as a second vault door essentially and then either a power plant or diner in the first 3 section. I always build my vaults in a simple 3-2-3 pattern.
